Jodi Ann Neetz, M.A. Canadian Certified Counsellor
Hello, my name is Jodi Ann, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with over two decades of experience in school and community mental health supporting children, families, and adults move from feelings of overwhelm to clarity and confidence. My approach is compassionate, playful, strengths-based, and evidence-informed—blending CBT, DBT, expressive arts, mindfulness, and play-based therapeutic approaches to support you or your child’s overall healing, growth, and emotional well-being.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn, you do not have to face it alone. I’m Jodi Ann, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families through life’s challenges and celebrations. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care and a Citation in Working with Street-Entrenched Youth, with a focus on holistic mental health.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients in schools, community mental health programs, youth shelters, parenting programs, work experience initiatives, and private practice. These diverse experiences shaped my collaborative, trauma-informed, strength-focused approach and my belief that learning and healing occur when people feel safe, supported, empowered and having fun.
I support individuals navigating personal struggles, relationship challenges, parenting pressures, neurodevelopmental differences, school struggles, and life transitions. My counselling style is warm, relational, and grounded in the understanding that every person holds gifts talents and a unique story. I meet you where you are, offering a compassionate, steady presence as we explore what you need to feel better, grow, and thrive.
I integrate evidence-based approaches such as family systems, CBT, DBT, attachment theory, mindfulness, expressive arts, and play-based interventions—into a holistic practice that builds resilience and emotional balance. I also embrace the healing power of play, which supports learning and healthy development at all ages and stages. My aim is to help my clients reconnect with their strengths, build confidence, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, balanced, and fulfilling.
Outside of counselling, I am a proud mom, nature-lover, creative adventurous spirit, and animal enthusiast—parts of my life that keep me centered and allow me to show up authentically for the people I support.
Reaching out takes courage. When you are ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

Students
Kirsten Sudbury-Graham, MA, Registered Clinical Counsellor and Doctoral Practicum Student
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#16708) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a PhD student in Clinical Psychology. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families aged 16 and older. I bring clinical insight and experience to our work together, but meaningful change happens when therapy is grounded in your perspective, values, and goals. My role is to help you understand what’s happening and support you in making changes that move you forward.
My therapeutic work draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and systems-informed approaches. Regardless of the approach we choose, I recognize that we all bring our own history, traumas, and fears. Together, we will find strategies that are meaningful and effective for you.
In addition to working with a broad range of mental health concerns and life challenges, I have specialized training and experience in:
Neurodivergence: I support neurodivergent individuals—particularly those with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and learning differences—alongside co-occurring challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. My neuro-affirming approach fosters self-understanding, emotional regulation, and improved functioning in school, work, and relationships.
Substance Use and Compulsive Behaviours: I work with individuals exploring the roots of substance use and behaviours such as gambling, disordered eating, compulsive sexual behaviour, or digital overuse. I take a curious, non-judgmental approach, seeing these behaviours as adaptations to distress, shaped by both neurobiology and life experience. Together, we build insight and develop more sustainable coping strategies.
Psychological Injury and Workplace Stress: I support individuals navigating psychological injury, burnout, and return-to-work challenges. With a background in human resources and disability management, I bring a practical, systems-informed lens to the intersection of mental health and occupational functioning.
*Kirsten is a doctoral practicum student who is working with Valley View Therapy & Assessment until August 31, 2026, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Patrick and Jenn Ronald, Registered Psychologists. Kirsten is providing both therapy and assessment during this time.*
