Get Clear Answers. Build the Right Support Plan.
Are attention, focus, impulsivity, hyperactivity, or organization challenges getting in the way at school, at work, or in daily life? Whether you’re a parent concerned about your child or an adult wondering if ADHD could explain long-standing difficulties, we’re here to help.
At Valley View Therapy & Assessment Inc., we offer thorough, compassionate ADHD evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Our goal is to give you a clear understanding of what’s going on—and provide the next steps for support, accommodations, and success.
What Is ADHD?
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects focus, impulse control, organization, and time management. It can show up in different ways depending on age and individual:
- It may look like distractibility, restlessness, or trouble following instructions
- It can affect motivation, academic performance, or peer relationships
- It may cause forgetfulness, missed deadlines, or chronic overwhelm
ADHD isn’t a lack of intelligence or effort—it’s a neurodevelopmental condition that requires understanding and support.
Do I (or my child) Need an ADHD Evaluation?
An ADHD assessment might be helpful if you or your child:
- Struggle to stay focused or finish tasks
- Are frequently forgetful or disorganized
- Lose track of time or feel easily overwhelmed
- Have difficulty following multi-step instructions
- Show high activity levels or impulsive behavior
- Are experiencing emotional dysregulation or frustration
We work with children, teens, college students, and adults—whether you’re exploring ADHD for the first time or need updated testing for school or work accommodations.
What’s Included in the Evaluation?
Each assessment is tailored to your unique needs, age, and goals. Depending on the referral question, we may assess:
- Cognitive abilities (IQ testing)
- Academic skills (reading, writing, math)
- Attention and executive functioning
- Memory and processing speed
- Language, reasoning, and visual-motor skills
- Social-emotional functioning and mental health screening
You’ll receive a clear, comprehensive report with recommendations that make sense for real life—whether that means classroom supports, workplace accommodations, or strategies for everyday success.
What’s Included in an ADHD Assessment?
We go beyond just checklists. Our evaluations are comprehensive, evidence-based, and customized for your age and needs. They may include:
- Clinical interviews and developmental history
- Behavioral rating scales from clients, parents, and/or teachers
- Executive functioning testing (attention, memory, organization)
- Mental health screening (to rule out other causes of symptoms)
You’ll receive a detailed, easy-to-understand write up and a personal feedback session to go over the results and recommendations.

Common Questions
Can you diagnose ADHD?
Yes. Our registered psychologists can provide a formal ADHD diagnosis and detailed documentation. Please note that getting an assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis.
Will this help with accommodations?
If you receive a diagnosis, our reports are designed to meet the documentation standards for schools, colleges, and workplaces. It is ultimately up to the organization to make a determination on what accommodations you are eligible for based on the diagnosis received.
Do you prescribe medication?
We do not prescribe medication, but we can refer you to trusted psychiatrists or medical providers as part of your treatment plan.
Can I do the assessment online?
Some portions of adult ADHD evaluations may be available via telehealth. Call us to see what’s possible in your situation.
