Psychoeducational Assessments for All Ages
Clear Answers. Personalized Support. A Path Forward.
Are you—or someone you care about—struggling with focus, learning, or performance at school, work, or in daily life? Whether you’re a parent concerned about your child, a student navigating college, or an adult wondering if ADHD or a learning difference might be at play, we’re here to help.
At Valley View Therapy & Assessment Inc., we specialize in comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for children, teens, college students, and adults. Our evaluations provide real answers and practical recommendations to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
What Is a Psychoeducational Assessment?
A psychoeducational assessment is a deep dive into how you think, learn, and process information. These evaluations can help identify:
- Learning disabilities
- ADHD or attention challenges
- Cognitive strengths and areas for growth
- Giftedness or advanced intellectual ability
- Emotional or behavioral concerns that may affect performance
- Barriers to success in academic, workplace, or daily settings
Whether you’re pursuing a diagnosis, looking for accommodations, or simply trying to understand yourself or your child better, a psychoeducational assessment is a powerful first step.
Who Do We Work With?
We provide learning and psychological evaluations for:
- Children and teens struggling in school or needing support plans
- College students and young adults needing documentation for academic accommodations
- Adults seeking answers about focus, memory, learning, or long-standing challenges
- Parents wanting clarity about how best to support their child at home and school
We meet each client where they are—with compassion, expertise, and respect.
What’s Included in the Evaluation?
Each assessment is tailored to your unique needs, age, and goals. Depending on the referral question, we may assess:
- Cognitive abilities (IQ testing)
- Academic skills (reading, writing, math)
- Attention and executive functioning
- Memory and processing speed
- Language, reasoning, and visual-motor skills
- Social-emotional functioning and mental health screening
You’ll receive a clear, comprehensive report with recommendations that make sense for real life—whether that means classroom supports, workplace accommodations, or strategies for everyday success.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with both children and adults?
Yes! We offer psychoeducational and psychological testing for ages 6 through adulthood.
Is this different from school testing?
Yes. Our assessments are more in-depth and personalized. They’re often used to access supports and accommodations.
Can I use this for college accommodations?
We regularly assess college students and adults needing documentation for extended time, note-taking services, or other academic supports. If you are diagnosed, our reports can be provided to your post-secondary institute so they can determine if you meet their criteria for accommodations. Please note that an assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis.
Will insurance cover this?
If you have extended health services, please contact your plan to find out if services are covered. We’re happy to guide you through the process.
Understanding how you or your child learns is a powerful step forward. Let’s take that step—together.
